The Director of Network Multimedia Communication Institute, Liu Weizhong is the Associate Professor of Electronics at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. After graduation in 1992, he started teaching and studied for a Master and PhD degree at HUST. He has excellent ability in research and development and focus on multimedia signal processing, communication, network technology, computer technology. Directed by Pro Liu, the institute successively undertook “863” programs, projects supported by Natural Science Foundation of China, projects supported by National Key Technology R&D Program, etc. He is the committee member of Cable Television Technology Committee, IEEE Member, editorial broad member of Cable Television Technology Magazine, and published more than 100 papers in core journals both at home and abroad. He is also well up in research organization and business management.
