On August 20th and 21st, 2019, the 3rd China College in Competition of Integrated Circuit Innovation and Entrepreneurship was held in Nanjing. Our students once again achieved excellent graces.

After intense preliminary contest, quarter-finals, and finals, our students Yaoyao Fu and Xiang Zhou won the first prize in Ziguang Zhanrui Cup, which their topic was “The Design of Locking Fractional PLL Quickly”. Chengzhe Ouyang and Hongyang Li won the second prize of Ziguang Tongchuang Cup, the topic of this team was "The Application Design Based on PGL22 Algorithm", in addition, 7 teams won the third prize and 4 teams won the outstanding award. Yuhui He, Jianming Lei, Wei Tan, Zhuoming Feng, Guoyi Yu, Zhaoxia Zheng, Zhige Zou and other teachers won the "Excellent Instructor Award". Huazhong University of Science and Technology once again won the " Excellent Guide Teacher Award ".

As we all known that the 3rd China College in Competition of Integrated Circuit Innovation and Entrepreneurship was held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology mainly and also held by Jiangbei New District of Nanjing. This competition was driven by the “Student IC Design and Application Innovation Competition” which has been held for seven times. This event has become the most authoritative, professional, and the most influential national event in the field of integrated circuits. This year, at the beginning more than 1,300 teams from 137 colleges signed up for the competition. Then more than 570 teams participated in the quarter-finals of the seven regional contests nationwide. The final 239 teams gathered in Nanjing to participate in the finals, including 14 teams from the School of optics and electronic information of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

The major in integrated circuit design and integration systems in Huazhong University of Science and Technology, since 2009, has explored the "Around-Students" talent-training model passionately and made a series of resolution of teaching. One of practical talent-training models, class related to the competition closely and all students participated, has been recognized by the majority of students and continues to this day. Each year we organize all undergraduates of integrated circuit design and integration systems, partial undergraduates of microelectronics science and engineering, electronic science and technology to participate China College in Competition of Integrated Circuit Innovation and Entrepreneurship held by MIIT together, which made HUST become one of the universities with the largest number of teams and the most awards. After the baptism of the competition, the students have gained a great harvest and laid a solid foundation for further study in the future.
